Welcoming my Festive Card Competition winners to Parliament
22/12/25, 12:00
I was delighted to welcome the winners of my Christmas Card Competition to Parliament for a very special visit.

This year, I invited primary school children across Hendon to design my official Christmas card, and I was truly blown away by the response. The standard of entries was incredibly high and every piece of artwork we received was outstanding, which made choosing winners a genuinely difficult task. The four designs selected were exceptional, capturing the warmth, creativity and festive spirit of our community.
Our four winners were:
Adonis Lakatos, Year 2, Dollis Hill Primary School
Zunaira Zeenat Khan, Year 1, Dollis Hill Primary School
Emily Weill, Year 5, Etz Chaim School
Shana Kennard, Year 5, Shalom Noam Primary School
As part of their prize the winners visited the Palace of Westminster with a parent and teachers from their schools, where they enjoyed a guided tour of Parliament and had the opportunity to see politics in action. A highlight of the visit was delivering the winning card to the Speaker of the House of Commons, Sir Lindsay Hoyle, at Speaker’s House, and having their photo taken to mark the occasion.
It was a pleasure to meet the winners and hear about the ideas behind their designs. Opportunities like this help bring Parliament to life and show young people that their voices, creativity and contributions matter. I would like to thank all the schools and students who took part in this year’s competition.
The enthusiasm, effort and imagination on display were inspiring. To celebrate everyone’s hard work, all submitted designs will be displayed in my constituency office throughout the festive season for visitors and residents to enjoy.
Congratulations once again to our winners, and thank you to every child, teacher and school who helped make this competition such a success.
