Since July 2024, it has been the honour of my life to serve as your Member of Parliament. I am incredibly proud to represent such a diverse, vibrant and resilient community, and I am determined to stand up for you and be a champion for our area.
 
My approach as your MP is simple: to listen, to understand, and to act. I believe the best representation starts with hearing directly from residents about the issues that matter most to them and their families. Every conversation, case and concern helps shape the work I do, locally and in Parliament.
 
Whether I am supporting local services, standing up for constituents, or raising issues in Parliament, I work hard every day to deliver real outcomes for our area and help every part of our community. Since I was elected, I have dealt with over 17,000 constituent cases, helped thousands of local residents, attended more than 500 local events and have held hundreds of surgeries in every part of our area.
 
Before entering Parliament I was fortunate to build a career that blended both business and public sector experience. I spent almost twenty years working in the private sector, holding a range of senior positions, as well as serving as an adviser during the last Labour Government, including to Alastair Darling when he was Chancellor. I work hard every day to use this experience to deliver for you.
 
I can’t promise that we will always agree, or that I will always have all the answers, but I can promise that I will always listen, treat everyone with respect, and do everything I can to help.
